It's Not Too Early to Think About BootsIt's Not Too Early to Think About Boots

I'm about to blow my wad on a custom-tailored Adam Arnold dress that'll take me through four late summer/early fall weddings all the way to the end of the holiday season's parties (and beyond), and given my tendency to gravitate toward expensive investment pieces (I don't use the term "investment" lightly: today I am wearing an Elizabeth Dye dress from a spring/summer collection I believe was debuted four years ago, for example.), it's time to both rebuild my savings account and find the perfect pair of fall boots, in the hopes that these two things will dovetail on a price point. In the meantime, I've got a lot of research to do. Here's the first candidate, a pair of Rachel Comeys I found at Creatures of Comfort:

This is a good idea to start with. It's not too wacky, you don't see that nude pink on a boot every day. The shape will age well through the years, it's versatile, it's safe, it looks plenty walkable... a good backup, but I could go for something more outrageous if it struck me right. I'll keep looking. Stay tuned.
