Regardless of the outcome of today's Prop. 8 trial ruling, there is at least some good LGBT news out there. Yesterday Campus Pride released its 2010 Climate Index of the nation's most gay-friendly colleges. Topping the list was University of Oregon.
The rankings are based on eight LGBT-Friendly factors, including support and institutional commitment, student life, academic life, housing, campus safety, counseling and health and recruitment and retention, according to the Oregonian.
The university still managed to snag the top spot, despite dealing with backlash after the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Queer Alliance office was vandalized and spray painted with a swastika back in February.
