Yesterday I ordered dinner from Lonesome's Pizza (523 NE 19th St). When my buffalo-chicken pie arrived (referred to on the menu as a "Lou Ferrigno vs. a shark with throwing stars for teeth"), I opened the box to find something unusual:
Clik here to view.

Inside was my sriracha-doused miracle, as well as a CD glued to the lid, containing a few songs by Gregory Stovetop. Tacked around the CD, a set of photos showed the musician dressed up as one half of Deegs and Carbine, "a fictional 70s cop duo" that Stovetop and Lonesome's co-owner Tim occasionally dress up as. The pictures are hilarious, the music endearing, and the pizza was great (low on grease, cracker-crusted, and all around delicious).
According to the Lonesome's website, the pie always comes with a little entertainment: "When you open your large pizza inside the box you’re going to find a DVD from an independent film maker or a CD from a musician you probably haven’t yet heard of or visual art from an artist we all think’s doing something interesting."
Major added bonus, they deliver until 4 am daily!
I scanned in a few shots of Deegs and Carbine from the box. See 'em after the jump.
