Shad has been killing it as of late, delivering the excellent Tsol (Us) last year and now the Canadian emcee has wrapped up shooting this video for his woman-positive (gasp!) jam, "Keep Shining." It's embarrassing that songs like this stand out amidst the tired—and regrettable acceptable—misogyny that is so firmly entrenched in hiphop, a frustration that weighs on the emcee as he drops a line like: "We don’t hear about your brain, just your 'brains.'" This Sarah Brown directed clip is overwhelmingly positive and leaves the camera time, and lip-syncing, where it belongs—with the ladies.
