Starting on Friday and ending in the wee, tiny hours of Monday morning, the Bender is three days of music and mayhem—and booze, really, if you want to be frank about it. Dozens of punk and garage bands fill the Slabtown stage, and the bar's packed for a weekend solid. It's been described, in what's still one of my favorite quotes, from Therapists' Jon Barron, as "a veritable shart-storm of booze and disasters."
