Gosh, isn't this some welcome news on this dreary Saturday morning?
Typhoon turned plenty of heads with the release of last year's Hunger and Thirst, a wondrous recording of orchestral pop music that made an appearance in plenty of year end top ten lists. Now the group—whose members range from a handful to hundreds and hundreds of thousands (okay, the actual number is around a dozen)—is prepping a new recording entitled A New Kind of House.
Due out on March 8th via local label Tender Loving Empire, A New Kind of House is supposed to act as an sequel to Hunger and Thirst, with "five multi-movement song cycles" that go hand-in-hand with the previous release. In fact, let's have a listen to the first song on this five-song EP.

A New Kind of House will be released on compact disc, digitally, and on a limited edition 10-inch as well. If you pre-order the EP Tender Loving Empire will toss in a digital copy of Hunger and Thirst for free. Aw, how sweet.
