Portlander Casey Dienel has always had deep affection for top 40 jams, but that might not be the first conclusion you jump to when listening to the suffused avant-pop she makes with White Hinterland. But White Hinterland's new digital EP Eidolon contains her cover of Monica's "Don't Take it Personal (Just One of Dem Days)," which has made appearances in her live set. The four-song EP, now available for $1 at Bandcamp, also has a couple remixes of "Icarus," from this year's triumphant Kairos album, and a new version of "Magnolia," also from Kairos.
