After originally establishing themselves on local imprint Bladen County, the Builders and the Butchers were courted by fancy New York label Gigantic Music, who released the band's Salvation is a Deep Dark Well.
But now the Butchers have returned to where they belong, as the band has just signed a deal with fine local label Badman Recording Co. (Lovers, Starfucker) for their forthcoming release, Dead Reckoning. Possibly titled after a Humphrey Bogart flick, the album is actually in stores right now... in Germany. They even have a fine video for "Lullaby" that is only available on the "German internet," but hopefully this news will bring that clip to our shores.
The American version of Dead Reckoning will be out on February 22, 2011. Congrats to both band and label.
