Rockstar Games, they of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption fame, have long been working on a game called L.A. Noire. Not a lot is known about it, and what you might imagine from the name seems to be a pretty solid description of everything we've seen so far.
Furthering the descriptive qualities of the title is Rockstar's newly released trailer for the game. It's the first we've seen and offers the most in-depth, lengthy look at what is sure to be a blockbuster crime tale set in a wide open sandbox of a world that, unlike the developer's previous two hit series, seems inspired by the films of James Cagney (as opposed to Al Pacino or Clint Eastwood).
Anyway, you came to watch the video. Leave opinions in the comments.
L.A. Noire is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms sometime in the spring of next year.
