
GOOD FILM—One of the more underrated films of the past few years is 2005's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, the dark, hilariously tongue-in-cheek noir from Lethal Weapon scribe Shane Black. With fantastic performances from Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer, and Michelle Monaghan, this one's definitely worth seeing if you missed it the first time around—and definitely worth rewatching even if you did. Pix Patisserie North, 3901 N Williams, 8:30 pm, FREEKARP RESURRECTED—In a benefit to raise money for Karp Lives, a documentary about the classic Pacific Northwest metal band, local metal gems Fist Fite, Lord Dying, Black Elk, Rapids, and Thrones will be performing Karp covers tonight. Few bands mixed sludgy aggression with biting sarcasm as artfully as Karp, and it's about time they got a big, messy tribute from the bands that followed their blueprint. DB
