Just a few weeks ago, Fullerrton's droning, coastal desert psych heavies Dahga Bloom were the victims of a storage space break-in that warranted the loss of three synthesizers (two vintage), one trumpet, one violin, three guitars, and an amp. Bummer news. Especially when the band was just weeks away from a west coast tour. The swiped gear (detailed list after the jump) remains at large, but the sextet have fortunately scraped together enough gear to get their show on the road, which NW weekend trippers can get in two doses: tonight at Tonic Lounge, and tomorrow at Portable Shrines' Escalator Fest in Seattle. The band has a new 12" record with awesome gafefold artwork, and maaaan, it's massive. (The burglars got 15-20 of them as well). If you're still trying to straighten out your dome from last night's Moon Duo/Eternal Tapestry show, you might as well keep it maladjusted for tonight's Dahga Bloom show at Tonic Lounge. Don't forget to stuff your pockets with some cash. Replacing gear after going on tour is even harder to do.
Mangled Bohemians and Moodrin support. 10pm, $5. Tonic Lounge is located at 3100 NE Sandy Blvd.
