Another week, another Mercury music section to read while you sin against God with your new Lady Gaga sex toy. Just be glad they don't make a Justin Bieber one. Yet.
It only took about 19 years, but I finally get to talk to my FBE™ (Favorite Band Ever), the one and only Teenage Fanclub. To think, if it wasn't for this band I might have actually gone to school, gotten a real job, and compiled a wardrobe not exclusively made of Hüsker Dü T-shirts. On second thought... damn you to hell, Teenage Fanclub.

If there is one thing you can say about our music section is that it's diverse. That said, here's an article on Belle and Sebastian, another wimpy, pale Scottish indie band from the '90s. Just be thankful the Soup Dragons didn't come to town this week.

After releasing one of our favorite albums of 2009, I Am the West, the latest from Portland trio Lovers is a heavy and complicated recording. Dark Light took awhile to grow on us, but it was worth the wait.

Philly soul singer extraordinaire Bilal recovers from record label woes and delivers the sweet sounding Airtight’s Revenge.
