The fourth Sound Judgment Festival kicks off today, a series of four shows between now and the weekend, hosted by Arya Imig and taking its name from his (now defunct) KPSU radio show. The show today sounds totally awesome, happeing at the Hawthorne Burgerville and featuring And And And (pictured above), Ylang Ylang, the Reservations, and Your Rival. It goes down at 6 pm. For this writer, the combo of burger, fries, hazelnut shake, and And And And might be too much to resist.

Sound Judgment continues Wednesday and Saturday with a pair of shows at Backspace. Wednesday's lineup includes Tope, River Banks, Presciption Pills, Benoit Pioulard, Weak Steel, Grandfather, and the Pulsing Organs. It's five bucks and all ages.

And Saturday's show has Bellicose Minds, Arctic Flowers, Blood Beach, Grey Anne, Midnight Callers, Wishyunu, and DJ Scott Oseth. That's a lot of music, also five bucks and all ages.

Finally, the fest closes with a daytime house show on Sunday (you can probably figure out where it is if you're so inclined) and features the likes of Death Songs, Ritchie Young, Alan Singley, Leonard Mynx, Mbilly, Audie Darling, Bright Archer, Padraic Finbar Hagerty-Hammond, Patrick Meyer, and Jason Simms.

Whew! Sounds like a heck of a fest.
