The Art Institute of Portland is unveiling a special exhibit of runway photography to coincide with this year's Portland Fashion Week, and they've chosen Ed Kavishe (you can follow him around the world on Twitter), who covered the 2010 runway shows in New York, Milan, and Paris. He's also the founder of Fashion Wire Press (FWP), which is providing the official photography of PFW for the second year in a row. Aspiring photographers and designers who may someday show on the runways, take note—not to mention the rest of us who spend a specific percentage of time online looking at fashion photography. The artist reception will take place from 1-2 pm on Sunday, Oct 10 (plenty of time to make it to PFW's finale later that night), but the show will be up in the AI gallery August 7-30.

Gallery Hours are 9 am — 6 pm Monday through Thursday; 9 am — 4 pm on Fridays; and 9 am - 2 pm on Saturdays.
